For young children, play therapy, parent consultation, or both may be utilized to provide an engaging and non-threatening environment to build trust with the therapist.

Play therapy provides a rich opportunity to observe the child's style of communication, behavior regulation, and it helps to promote healthier relating and problem solving skills.

For older children and adolescents, more traditional 'talk therapy' may be used. There are many different forms of therapy, several of which have been studied and found to be effective.

Many therapists use a combination of approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Psychodynamic Therapy to best meet the client's needs.

When appropriate and permitted by the client, we will collaborate with other treatment providers to ensure cohesive and consistent care.
