Our Story…

Formative Psychological Services (FPS) was founded in 2015 by Drs. John and Kate Frampton.  John and Kate’s life work has focused on improving the lives of those who experience mental health vulnerabilities, and they have created a family-run practice to help those in need.  FPS is steadfast in its mission and ethical practice, and has been gifted with a team of clinicians in Chicago and Northbrook who share their passion in helping others.  This group of clinicians provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families.  They have partnered with over 70 Chicagoland school districts to provide training, keynote presentations, and ongoing consultation and supervision.  They also provide school-based neuropsychological evaluations.

John and Kate reside in Chicago and have 3 boys.  They all enjoy seeing family and friends, the mountains, sports, and the beach.
